Western Rail Access to Heathrow (WRAtH): Update and request for help from Thames Valley Businesses - uploaded 23rd february 2012
I am writing to update you on progress and ask for your help with Western Rail Access to Heathrow (WRAtH). Some of you may have heard about this project already, in which case this will act as an update, while some of you may be hearing about this for the first time. Western Rail Access to Heathrow is a project initiated by Slough Borough Council a number of years ago and now supported by Thames Valley Berkshire Local Economic Partnership (TVBLEP) with the aim of resolving the problem of lack of rail access into Heathrow Airport from the west. Heathrow is almost unique among international airports in having rail access to one destination only – London. This misses an opportunity for a whole swathe of the country to have more direct rail connections with the UK’s primary airport.
